All 11th & 12th graders will be taking part in
the Fitness Gram. The Fitness Gram is a series of five tests that will
outline your fitness level. A printed report of your results will be
mailed home.
The 11th-12th graders have the opportunity to pick from five different electives. The five options are outlined below.
Sport Module I (Team Sports)
This course is designed to provide knowledge and improve skills
in the game setting of team activities. Emphasis will be on
sportsmanship, game strategies, and rules. Activities will include
football, basketball, volleyball, softball, and a variety of other team
sports.
Sport Module II (Net Sports)
This course is designed to provide knowledge and improve skills
in tennis and badminton. Emphasis will be and game strategies, rules of
play and sportsmanship. The unit will end with a tournament of
champions. Volleyball, basketball, and a variety of other activities
will be offered during this unit.
Sport Module III
This course is designed to explore the compositional elements of dance through space, time energy and shape. Emphasis will be put on the multicultural aspects of dance, student driven choreography and technique. Activities may include but are not limited to dance based fitness, cultural dance, choreographic composition and hip hop.
Lifetime Activities
This course is designed to provide knowledge and improve skills
in activities that that can be participated in for a lifetime.
Activities may include but are not limited to fitness, bocce, croquet,
and tennis.

Outdoor Education
This course is a series of sequential activities involving
physical, mental, and social components. Outdoor education uses
cooperative games, trust activities, low and high climbing elements to
develop an environment of honesty and trust. A variety of outdoor
activities based on availability may include fly fishing, mountain
biking, kayaking, canoeing, and snow skiing.
** All 11th & 12th grade students will be involved in a school wide volleyball tournament.
