1. Math teachers, either via letter or verbally, will strongly encourage students to obtain a graphing calculator. It is essential that those who are able to get a calculator do!
2. If students are unable to obtain a graphing calculator, they will notify their classroom teacher and/or the department chair. These
students will then receive an "Application for Use of Graphing
Calculator" from their math teacher to be brought home and filled it out
completely.
3. Students will return form to their math teacher who will check to see that all required signatures are on the form. If
form is completed properly, teacher will return form to student, who
will go to the library during their lunch/study hall or after school. If form is incomplete, student must return form home to be completed.
4. Student will return this completed form to the high school librarian. The
librarian will keep the white copy for herself, return the pink copy to
the student, and give the yellow copy to the math department
chairperson.
5. The librarian will issue a yellow graphing calculator that will be scanned into the library's database to the student. A set of four AAA batteries will be issued as well if they are not already in the calculator.
