TODAY IS FRIDAY, JANUARY 18, 2019 & IT IS A “B” DAY

 

The Credit Recovery/Credit Accrual program will be cancelled during Regents week (1/21-1/24) and resume the following week of 1/28, ending on 1/31/19. The late winter session will begin on February 11.


Students are reminded that lockers will be secured this Friday, January 18th at the end of the school day for the upcoming Regents testing.  You will have no further access to your locker and there will be no exceptions made.


Students are reminded if you did not receive a Regents packet with the bus schedule, please stop by the main office and pick one up.  The bus stops are modified for testing week so you must check to see where to wait for the bus.

 

The Rotary Interact Club will meet on Monday January 28 in room 1709 after school


Senior T-shirts are on sale now in the school store for $20.

 

Luggage check for the Senior trip will take place on Thursday, January 24th from 3-5 pm.  Seniors going on the trip are to be at the high school on Friday, January 25th by 5:15 am. 

 

Three spots opened up on the Vermont ski trip.  If you are interested, see Mr. Dillon.

 

Physical Education is running a field trip to Island Rock Indoor Climbing facility.  If you are interested, see Mr. Dillon for permission slip.

 

Attention all National Honor Society members.  We will have a meeting today, Thursday, January 17th in the LGI.  -Bring your signed community service forms and wear your NHS t-shirts as we will be taking our yearbook picture.  See you then.

 

Come one, Come all: Walk  in support of unity and diversity in Honor of Doctor Martin Luther King.  Saturday, January 19th, meet us at Coram Elementary School @11 am. We will walk to Coram Fire Department where there will be lunch and activities. 

 

Attention Athletes stop by the Health Office on a free period to check on your eligibility for your Spring sport. The DEADLINE is FEBRUARY 15th!! 

 

The 2019 Longwood High School Local Scholarship application is open and available to be completed!  Last year Longwood Seniors were awarded over $100,000.00 from local businesses and organizations.  

The 2019 Local Scholarship can be found on your Naviance  account, in the blue "What's New" box on the home screen.  Applications will be open until March 1, 2019.  All seniors are encouraged to complete an application today!


Congratulations to the girls JV basketball team on their 37-19 win against sachem north last night. Jada Rodriguez lead with 12 points while Danielle Wenzek and Shaniyah Wilson both contributed 8.  The girls have shown tremendous growth this season and continue to work as a team. Go lady lions!!!
